Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Bookkeeper to take ownership of day-to-day financial tracking and QuickBooks management across multiple retail locations.
This role is focused on accuracy and consistency — ensuring invoices, bank transactions, and credit card activity are properly recorded, monitored, and kept up to date at all times.
This role is ideal for someone with a strong personality who can come into an unstructured environment, clean things up, create structure, and keep the numbers accurate and organized. The right candidate is not just a data-entry bookkeeper — they are confident, detail-oriented, and capable of growing into a Controller-level role over time.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting activity
- Clean up and organize financial records, accounts, reconciliations, and reporting
- Oversee transactions, invoicing, payments, bank activity, and credit card reconciliations
- Maintain accurate financial records across the business
- Prepare clear reports for ownership and leadership
- Identify issues, gaps, or inconsistencies and take ownership of fixing them
- Help build better accounting processes and controls
- Grow into a higher-level accounting leadership role over time
Qualifications
- 4+ years of bookkeeping experience
- Strong hands-on QuickBooks experience
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to stay organized across multiple entities/accounts
Ideal Candidate

- Experience handling accounting for a business with $7M+ in revenue
- Strong bookkeeping/accounting background
- Strong personality — confident, direct, and able to hold people accountable
- Comfortable stepping into a messy environment and cleaning it up
- Detail-oriented and organized
- Highly proficient in QuickBooks, including managing multiple entities
- Looking for long-term growth with a path toward Controller
