Overview

This is a hands-on HR role for someone who thrives on building structure, improving processes, and keeping hiring and HR operations running smoothly. You’ll take ownership of recruitment, employee support, benefits administration, documentation, and process development while partnering with department leaders to understand staffing needs and strengthen every stage of the employee lifecycle. Success in this role requires strong HR experience, exceptional organization, the ability to work independently, and a proactive approach to getting things done with minimal direction.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full recruitment process, including sourcing, applicant screening, and initial interviews.

  • Partner with department managers to understand hiring needs and coordinate recruitment efforts.

  • Support employees with HR-related questions and day-to-day employee relations matters.

  • Administer employee benefits and assist with related HR processes.

  • Create, update, and maintain job descriptions across all departments.

  • Develop and document department-specific SOPs and workflows.

  • Gain a thorough understanding of each department’s responsibilities and staffing requirements.

  • Maintain employee records, HR documentation, and policy updates, including the employee handbook.

  • Identify opportunities to improve HR processes, organization, and efficiency.

  • Collaborate across departments to ensure hiring and HR initiatives are executed effectively.

Qualifications

  • Experience managing recruitment and employee onboarding.

  • Strong knowledge of HR operations, employee relations, and benefits administration.

  • Experience creating job descriptions, policies, SOPs, or process documentation.

  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.

  • Able to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and require minimal supervision.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Professional, dependable, and solutions-oriented.

     

Other Details

  • Full-time, in-office position in Williamsburg.

  • Reports directly to company leadership.
