Overview
A growing organization is seeking an experienced CFO to lead the finance function, strengthen the team, and bring greater financial visibility and control to the business.
This is a true financial leadership role for someone who can lead a finance team, own the numbers, and help drive the business forward.
The company is in the middle of a major systems transformation, making strong ERP experience essential. The CFO will partner closely with operational leadership to ensure financial processes, controls, reporting, inventory, and costing are properly built into the new system.
We’re looking for someone who understands both finance and how the systems behind the numbers actually work.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the finance and accounting team
- Own financial reporting, close, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow
- Strengthen controls, processes, reporting, and accountability
- Oversee AP, AR, GL, inventory, costing, and operational finance
- Provide ownership with clear financial visibility and actionable insights
- Partner with senior leadership on strategy, growth, and major financial decisions
- Take ownership of the financial side of ERP implementation and optimization
- Ensure ERP workflows, controls, reporting, and data structure support the finance function
- Improve visibility into margins, costs, inventory, and profitability
Ideal Candidate
- CFO, VP Finance, or high-level Controller experience with full financial ownership
- Proven experience leading and developing a finance team
- Significant hands-on ERP implementation, migration, or transformation experience — required
- Strong understanding of how ERP systems connect finance with inventory, purchasing, sales, and operations
- Deep experience with financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and controls
- Strong understanding of inventory and cost accounting
- Experience in a product-based, distribution, or operationally complex business
- Able to operate strategically while still understanding the details
- Strong leadership, business judgment, and ownership mentality
Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and/or Great Plains experience is highly preferred.
