Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join a fast-growing outsourced CFO and bookkeeping firm. This role combines client-facing responsibilities with team oversight, ensuring accurate financial reporting and high-quality service delivery. The Senior Accountant will manage client accounts, lead in-office and offshore staff, and provide analytical insights to help clients achieve their business goals.
The Ideal Candidate
CPA (preferred) or strong equivalent background
Analytical thinker with the ability to interpret and advise on financial data
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple client portfolios
Personable, professional, and able to build trusted client relationships
Creative problem-solver who brings new ideas to improve processes
Key Responsibilities
Oversee client portfolios, serving as the primary accounting lead
Manage daily accounting operations, including GL, AP/AR, and reconciliations
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Lead and mentor a team of 2+ accountants (in-office and offshore)
Coordinate with auditors, tax professionals, and client stakeholders
Implement accounting policies and internal controls for efficiency and accuracy
Contribute ideas and best practices to enhance client service delivery
Qualifications & Must-Haves
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA strongly preferred
3+ years progressive accounting experience, including supervisory exposure
Proven experience handling multiple clients/accounts simultaneously
Proficiency with accounting platforms (QuickBooks, Xero, or similar)
Strong communication skills, able to explain financial concepts clearly
Analytical mindset, detail-oriented, and highly organized
